Sage Intacct Launched in Eswatini

By Phiwa Sikhondze

Sage, a global leader in accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has officially launched its Sage Intacct platform in Eswatini.

This strategic expansion is poised to revolutionize the financial operations of organizations across the country, offering enhanced performance, operational efficiencies, and growth opportunities through cutting-edge digital tools.

Designed to provide real-time financial visibility, advanced automation, and data-driven insights, Sage Intacct enables financial teams to shift their focus from repetitive tasks to high-impact strategic activities.

By automating routine processes, finance professionals can dedicate more time to analyzing market trends, formulating strategic financial plans, and implementing innovative solutions like predictive analytics.

These capabilities are crucial for businesses aiming to improve their financial health and maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly digital economy.

Sage Intacct offers a suite of features designed to empower financial teams and drive business growth. Finance teams gain clear insights into their financial data, enabling smarter decisions based on real-time information.

Tedious spreadsheet tasks and manual data entry are eliminated, saving time and reducing the risk of errors. Accounts payable and receivable tasks are automated, freeing up time for teams to focus on strategic priorities.

The platform grows with businesses, allowing them to add functionality as needed without disrupting operations. Artificial intelligence and machine learning tools improve data accuracy by automating processes, and Sage Intacct’s open architecture and API library allow easy integration with other applications, ensuring a cohesive financial management ecosystem.

Pieter Bensch, Executive Vice President & Managing Director for Sage Africa & Middle East, highlighted the significance of this expansion for Eswatini’s businesses.

“Digitization is propelling economies forward. The expansion of Sage Intacct into Eswatini is immensely significant for businesses in the region. Companies using cloud solutions experience 25% more automation than their counterparts, while finance teams with minimal automation spend only 18% of their time on value-added tasks,” Bensch said.

He emphasized Sage’s commitment to empowering regional businesses with cutting-edge cloud financial management solutions. “This expansion marks a significant milestone in our journey to drive digital transformation and economic growth throughout the continent,” Bensch added.

Following successful launches in Namibia, Botswana, and Mauritius in 2022, Sage Intacct is now available to Eswatini customers through certified business partners. These partners bring deep expertise in specific vertical markets, ensuring that local businesses receive tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. One satisfied user of Sage Intacct is Daniel Smith, Financial Director at Life & Brand Portfolio.

“Sage Intacct helps us achieve our goals by automating processes we used to execute manually, putting real-time insights about our business at our fingertips,” Smith said.

He also noted the ease of use and seamless integration with other business systems, allowing the company to create custom dashboards and reports without extensive training. Moreover, Sage Intacct provides access to a growing ecosystem of technology partners through the Sage Intacct Marketplace, offering pre-integrated solutions to extend the platform’s capabilities.

Since its introduction in South Africa in 2020, Sage Intacct has become the preferred financial management solution for many businesses, including Brenn-O-Kem, Dynamic Technologies, Life & Brand Portfolio, Retail Capital, and Seaborne Logistics. These companies have seen significant improvements in efficiency and business outcomes through the platform’s advanced features.

For instance, Seabourne Logistics has streamlined its reporting process, moving away from manual, Excel-based methods. Retail Capital has been able to scale its business without increasing finance department overheads, and Brenn-O-Kem now operates in real-time rather than waiting 15 to 30 days for data availability. Sage Intacct’s reach extends across the African continent, with availability in South Africa, Namibia, Mauritius, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Zimbabwe.
