The Managing Director (MD) of the Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation (RES) Nick Jackson has announced that Group Public Affairs Manager, Sifiso Nyembe has resigned from the organization after 11 years.
Nyembe handed in his resignation on July 1, 2024, and will be serving notice until the end of July 2024.
In a press release, Jackson highlighted that the RES had enjoyed working with Nyembe over the past few years and is happy for him as he branches out into new things.
The press release notes that Nyembe joined the RES to set up the Public Affairs Department back in 2013. Among his achievements, attained together with his dynamic team in Public Affairs, have been the positive movements in stakeholder sentiment and the phenomenal increase in the Country Clubs’ profitability.
Another area that benefitted from Nyembe’s involvement is the growth of Thembelisha Preparatory School enrolment numbers and the school’s standard of education.
Nyembe also took over Property Services in 2019, and with his team implemented remarkable changes in security and cost efficiencies in maintenance through creative outsourcing.
Jackson further highlighted that the RES had also begun to see some improvements in the Livestock and Game business, which Nyembe took over in 2022.
“We wish him all the best in his future endeavours” said Jackson.
Nyembe expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve RES.
“I have deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve talented and dedicated teams at the Public Affairs Department and across RES over the years. Serving under the excellent leadership of Nick has been a remarkable blessing, marked by tremendous personal growth,” Nyembe noted.
