The MTN Bushfire organizing team has revealed that online Early Bird tickets which were made available to the public earlier this morning have sold out, faster than they did for last year’s edition.
According to the Festival’s Communications Officer Simon Dawson, tickets have now moved to Phase 1 pricing.
“Online Early Bird tickets have now moved to phase 1 pricing, after selling out in record time. However, residents of Eswatini may still purchase Early Bird tickets via MoMo Marketplace if they hurry while stocks last! Importantly, MTN Bushfire tickets are selling at reduced prices on MoMo Marketplace as part of MTN Eswatini and Bushfire’s shared goal of keeping the festival accessible to emaSwati, notes Dawson.
The 17th edition of the internationally acclaimed MTN Bushfire Festival will be held from 31 May – 02 June 2024, in Eswatini.
A limited number of specially discounted MTN Bushfire 2024 tickets are available on MoMo Marketplace (Eswatini only), so as to ensure accessibility to the festival for emaSwati, and to maintain the shared goals of supporting locals that MTN Eswatini and Bushfire constantly strive for.
MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) is also a payment option on the Howler ticket platform and can be used to purchase Top-Up funds.
Named “Top African festival” by the BBC and hailed by CNN as one of the “7 African music festivals you really have to see,” the MTN Bushfire is more than a festival, it’s a living, breathing ecosystem deeply rooted in African soil, yet inclusive and welcoming to guests from all over the world.

**Tickets are phased in batches and move to the next phase when the previous batch runs out.
Camping and Glamping tickets are also available for purchase through the MTN Bushfire website. Festivalgoers are asked to keep their tickets safe and not show the barcode to anyone as this makes them vulnerable to fraud. Please note that tickets are not refundable.
MTN Bushfire has been sold out for the last 10 years running, so don’t delay in getting your tickets! Early Bird tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. They typically sell out within the day, so festivalgoers are urged to purchase them as soon as they become available. Phase 1 Festival tickets will become available for purchase as soon as Early Bird tickets run out.

Please note:
- Currently, only festivalgoers in Eswatini are able to purchase MTN Bushfire 2024 tickets with MTN Mobile Money (MoMo), through the MoMo Marketplace on WhatsApp or through the Howler ticket portal.
- Fans will be able to buy tickets even if their MoMo number is different from their WhatsApp number.
- Electronic tickets will be downloaded directly to mobile phones so guests can Green Your Fire and save paper by using the e-ticket on their device to enter the festival.
- Tickets will be emailed as a back-up.
- Tickets can also be pre-loaded with funds for the festival via MoMo.
- A maximum of five tickets can be purchased at a time.
