IDM is looking for a Country Director for Eswatini Campus

The Institute of Development Management (IDM), a regional institution established by the governments of Botswana, Lesotho, and Eswatini, is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Country Director for its Eswatini Campus.

IDM is a leading provider of education, training, consulting, and research services in the fields of management, leadership, governance, health, education, and law. The academic institution has been operating since 1974 and has shaped the futures of many nationals of the participating member states with executive development courses and long-term training.

IDM states in a vacancy advert that the Country Director will report to the Regional Director and will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of the IDM Eswatini country office, in line with the approved policies and procedures. The Country Director will also oversee the development and implementation of the country’s marketing strategy, the performance management system, the annual operational and capital budgets, and the change management initiatives.

The ideal candidate must possess a minimum Master’s Degree in Business Administration and/or Master’s Degree in Education, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. A PhD will be an added advantage or preferred. The candidate must also have a minimum of 10 years of general experience, 3 years of which should have been in an executive management position in an institution of higher learning.

The candidate should also possess the following competencies: highly developed stakeholder management and communication skills, strategic thinking and technical expertise, critical and analytical thinking, team leadership, external environment awareness, communications, influence and impact, planning and resource management, and innovation and entrepreneurial expertise.
