Inside Biz takes a look at some of the executive appointments that have taken place over the past two months in the country.
These moves comprise of two Chief Executive Officers’, a Board Chairman, and a Chief Insurance Officer.
Nozipho Dlamini- Chief Insurance Officer (CIO) Finsure Assurance Limited
Nozipho Dlamini assumed her role as Chief Insurance Officer at Finsure Assurance Limited with effect from 1 march 2023.
She brings over 10 years of experience in the field of long-term insurance. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Henley Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Eswatini (UNESWA), as well as a certificate in Long Term Insurance from the Moonstone Business School.
Before taking on the new role at Finsure Assurance Limited, Dlamini was Head of Long-Term Insurance Business Development Manager at Old Mutual Eswatini. She has also served in other companies within the financial services sector.
Mavela Vilane- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) National Maize Corporation
The newly appointed CEO is not new in such a position as he is the former CEO of Eswatini Standards Authority, a role he held from 2020 to 2023.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Vilane is a qualified executive with experience in strategic planning and execution, SHERQ Management as well as overseeing the daily organizational activities. He has also held a number of senior positions in reputable entities such as Eswatini Railway, where he was SHEQ Manager.
Mathokoza Shongwe- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ezulwini Municipality
Mathokoza Shongwe is not new in the municipal space as he has over ten years of experience working for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and some municipalities in the country.
Prior to his appointment, Shongwe held the position of CEO/Programme Director for SVNET, a consulting firm responsible for the collection of TV License payments and Eswatini Government Scholarship Repayment.
Sifiso Dhlamini- Chairman of Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund
Sifiso Dhlamini needs no introduction in the media space. He is a seasoned Communications and Marketing practitioner, having worked for the Eswatini Electricity Company as its Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager for a number of years.
Dhlamini is also a businessman and the Head of Investor Relations & Public Relations at Eswatini Investment Group.
