Applications for Exhibition Spaces at Trade Fair Now Closed

The Minister of Commerce Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo has disclosed that applications for exhibition spaces are now closed.

He said this is due to exhibition stands being fully subscribed and as the Ministry they were grateful to companies that will be exhibiting.

The Minister revealed this during a media briefing held at the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) offices earlier today.

“The public can look forward to visiting over 300 exhibitors from the 1st to the 10th of September 2023. The public is encouraged to visit these exhibitions and learn more about the companies and organizations on show. Business exhibitions will be open on the day of the official opening.”

Khumalo further noted that entrepreneurs and business people can also look forward to business seminars from 4 to 8 September 2023. The seminars will cover topics such as trading for AfCFTA, exporting to the USA, and the youth in business.

Worth noting is that the seminars will be hosted at the FNB sponsored, FNB Business Chamber. The programme of seminars as well as the full EITF programme can be downloaded at BuyEswatini.com.

Additionally, EIPA’s Head of Trade Bongani Ntshangase disclosed last week that companies and exhibitors can now set up.

“Regarding the Trade Fair, access to exhibition space is now open to all the companies who will be exhibiting. I know we are three weeks away from the start of the Trade Fair but I think the organizing team has done an amazing job in ensuring that everything is ready ahead of time.”

“We will be having a number of companies setting up custom-built stands, and we invite those companies to start moving into the set-up. For companies who will be making use of simpler stand make-ups, such as Gazebos and banners, they can move in after this coming week,” he noted.
