
Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) members and employers will now get more services at their fingertips through the seamless benefits of the four recently launched digital solutions.
Last week Tuesday, ENPF once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation by unveiling a range of ground-breaking digital products. The launch event took place at the Happy Valley Hotel and was attended by members of the local media and personnel from the Fund.
The new products are the 003# USSD Balance Check for MTN users on basic phones (“bobhompompo”), Annual e-statements for members, E-Compliance Certificate through the Employer Portal, and Employer E-Registration through the Employer Portal.
ENPF’s relentless pursuit of technological advancement began in 2009, and the newly introduced digital products mark a significant milestone in its digital journey. These digital solutions are set to revolutionize how ENPF members and employers interact with the Fund, enabling a more convenient, efficient, and transparent experience.
ENPF’s Chief Executive Officer, Futhi Tembe, expressed her enthusiasm about the launch of these digital products and their potential to transform member and employer interactions with ENPF.
She stated, “Our digital journey, which began in 2009, has paved the way for these ground-breaking digital solutions. We are proud to offer our members and employers cutting-edge tools that will allow them to access their statements even from home via their phones. We believe it will enhance convenience and drive efficiency and transparency.”
The CEO noted that before the digital era, there were various challenges in the way of doing things. She says this was costly internally as there was a lot of paperwork and also expensive for members and employers.

It also created inefficiency in the operations of the Fund. However, since digitalization, the service roll-out is now seamless.
These digital products are designed to benefit over 160,000 ENPF members, empowering them to leverage technology and save time and money while accessing their statements and managing their accounts. Introducing these innovative solutions reflects ENPF’s commitment to providing world-class services that enhance customer experience and deliver value to its stakeholders.

UNPACKING THE NEW DIGITAL PRODUCTS LAUNCHED BY ENPF:
1.*003# USSD Balance Check for MTN users (basic phones): Recognizing the diversity of its member base, ENPF has introduced the *003# USSD Balance Check service specifically for non-smartphone users who are MTN subscribers. This innovative solution allows members to conveniently check their ENPF account balance by dialling *003# on their mobile phones. Members can now access their vital account information at their fingertips, eliminating the need for internet connectivity or smartphones.
It has these further features:
Check Balance:
• Displays Statement + interest.
• Supplementary contribution + interest
• Voluntary contribution + interest.
Payments: You can pay for voluntary contributions for yourself or any member where you need to know the PIN. Payments are made through mobile money.
2. Annual e-statements for members: In line with ENPF’s commitment to providing easy access to financial information, the Fund has introduced annual e-statements for its members. Employers can download their employee’s statements through the Employers Portal platform and email them to the members. This digital solution ensures secure and instant access to important financial records, saving time and money.
3. E-Compliance Certificate through the Employer Portal: ENPF seeks to support and simplify compliance processes for employers through this product. The Fund has introduced the E-Compliance Certificate through the Employer Portal. Employers can now generate compliance certificates online, ensuring a faster and more efficient process that can be used for tax or tendering processes. This feature not only reduces administrative burdens but also promotes accurate and timely compliance with ENPF regulations. The certificate can also be verified online.

4. Employer E-Registration through the Employer Portal: ENPF aims to provide employers with seamless, hassle-free interactions. To achieve this, the Fund has introduced the Employer E-Registration feature through the Employer Portal. Employers can now register online, eliminating the need for physical paperwork and reducing processing time. This digital solution ensures a smooth onboarding process and fosters a stronger partnership between ENPF and employers.

• Employers can submit registration documents through the portal
• Upon approval, the employer gets an employer number via email.
• Employer also gets a registration certificate
