Slomoes Corporation Supports Local Entrepreneurship with E60,000 Sponsorship

The eagerly anticipated Made in Eswatini Consumer Fair has secured a sponsorship of E60, 000 from leading tech company, Slomoes Corporation.

This generous contribution underscores Slomoes’ dedication to supporting local businesses and promoting sustainable economic growth in Eswatini. Slomoes Corporation joins other key partners, including the Mbabane Municipal Council, KFC Eswatini, Emlembe Beverages, and Eye Studio Multi-Media, all of whom have committed resources to ensure the success of the event.

As part of the sponsorship, Slomoes Corporation has generously provided essential equipment to the working team at A Peculiar People. The kind contribution includes an HP Laptop, two Sony Clear Image Video Recorders, Tripods, and an HP OfficeJet Pro Printer, fully licensed and with set-up service, and accompanying memory cards for seamless connectivity. This equipment is set to enhance the team’s ability to create high-quality content, capturing the stories and successes of the MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) participating in the fair.

When reached for comment, Lucky Slomo Dlamini, Managing Director of Slomoes Corporation, confirmed the sponsorship and their deep commitment to supporting youth empowerment and job creation. “Slomoes Corporation is proud to be part of the Made in Eswatini Consumer Fair,” he said. “We believe that by providing cutting-edge technology and equipment, we are not only enhancing the capabilities of A Peculiar People’s team but also contributing to creating jobs for young people in Eswatini. Empowering youth with the resources to succeed in the workforce is a critical part of driving innovation and long-term economic growth. This sponsorship underscores our dedication to fostering a thriving ecosystem where local businesses, especially MSMEs, can grow, compete, and succeed in the global market.”

The Chairman of a Peculiar People, Melusi Zox Dlamini, expressed sincere gratitude to Slomoes Corporation for its generosity and support. “The sponsorship from Slomoes Corporation is truly invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for this partnership,” said the Chairman.

“These essential tools will significantly boost our capacity to store critical data and create impactful, engaging content. This will help us not only tell the stories of the talented MSMEs involved in the fair but also empower them with the visibility they need to thrive. The equipment is vital in showcasing the creativity, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit of Eswatini’s local businesses, and we look forward to collaborating with Slomoes Corporation in making this year’s fair a resounding success.”

The sponsored essential equipment will be used to create high-quality multimedia content that highlights the experiences and journeys of MSME owners and their innovative products. This will serve to inspire and engage consumers, offering them insightful perspectives on why buying local is important for the growth of the local economy. Additionally, the content produced will be used to engage audiences across various platforms, further amplifying the voices of Eswatini’s small businesses.

Technological advancement is critical to SME development as it enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and enables businesses to operate more effectively. By automating processes, improving communication, and providing access to data-driven insights, technology helps SMEs streamline operations, manage resources better, and make informed decisions. Additionally, technology supports scalability, financial management, and sustainability, allowing SMEs to grow while staying competitive in an ever-evolving market.

Through this sponsorship, Slomoes Corporation has demonstrated their shared vision of promoting local entrepreneurs, creating job opportunities, and stimulating consumer interest in local products, ultimately benefiting Eswatini’s economy as a whole.

The Made in Eswatini Consumer Fair organizers further announced that registration for this year’s event has officially closed.
