Select Limited has donated a total of E1 million over the past three years to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office to assist the less fortunate.
This was revealed by Select Limited’s General Manager (GM), Sakhile Zwane during the handing over of a donation of school shoes and school uniforms worth E150,000.
When making the donation, Zwane expressed that due to the continued support from emaSwati, Select has achieved a pan-African reach.
“As Select, we are proud of the support we have received from emaSwati over the past 25 years. This support has enabled us to grow, not just in Eswatini but across Africa,” Zwane said.
He highlighted the company’s footprint across the Kingdom, with branches in Pigg’s Peak, Mbabane, Manzini, Nhlangano, and Siteki. Beyond Eswatini, Select Limited has expanded into Kenya, Malawi, Lesotho, and Uganda, reinforcing its presence as a pan-African financial services provider.
“As Select, we are not loan sharks. We don’t take people’s bank cards, and we don’t break people’s legs if they fail to repay their money. We specialize in offering micro-loans to our clients, and this business model has allowed us to work over the past 25 years,” he stated.
In appreciation of the support the company has received, Zwane noted that Select has made substantial contributions to the welfare of less fortunate emaSwati.
“Over the past three years, Select has donated about E1 million to the less fortunate across the Kingdom, which we’ve channeled through the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office. Today, we are donating school shoes and uniforms worth E150,000 to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for distribution to various schools,” he said.
Accepting the donation, Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla commended Select Limited for its continued partnership with the government in supporting disadvantaged communities.
She underscored the importance of school uniforms in fostering a sense of equality among students.

“This donation of school shoes and uniforms will support children in seven schools around the Kingdom. It’s important to note that school uniforms, due to their similarity, allow children to feel equal at school and to attend school with healthy self-esteem. When every child wears a school uniform and proper school shoes, their poverty is less visible to the other children,” she said.
She further encouraged other corporate entities to emulate Select’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
