MTN Excels In Business, Wins 2 Awards

MTN Eswatini came home with two prestigious awards from the MTN South and East Africa region 2023 conference held Zambia.

MTN Group SEA Vice President Yolanda Cuba led the delegation hosted by the MTN Zambian CEO, Abbad Reda.

The company was recognised for excelling in two business areas, the; Overall Enterprise Business Performance Award and Overall Customer Experience Award on Thursday night, beating other MTN operations, South Africa, Uganda, Botswana, Rwanda and Zambia.

The conference themed ‘Igniting Ambition the Markets way’ was attended by CEO Wandile Mtshali and his executive team.

Receiving the Enterprise Business Performance Award Mtshali said, “We believe that this award speaks directly to our Business Done Better strategy, a strategy anchored in partnering with businesses through the delivery of end-to-end products and technology.”

He said MTN Eswatini’s Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) continues to excel, placing customer needs at the very core of their operation and as they continue to explore cases of the 5G technology they are excited on the prospects this 5G technology will bring for corporate in Eswatini.

Mtshali sent a message of appreciation to Thandazile Dlamini, the former EBU Head of Department who has recently moved to take the role of Acting CEO MTN Botswana for this award we are confident that the team will continue where she left off.

“The recognition is truly humbling and bears testament to how customers experience the MTN brand in Eswatini. I believe that these awards, are a result of us being open to receiving customer feedback and intentionally taking steps to address customer pain points. Customer experience is a moving target, and we further commit to MTN customers to continue delivering the best network experience, the best products and services and the best service.”  

The company is not new to winning multiple awards in a short space of time as is previously bagged the Best Network Performance Award; Leading Customer Experience; Operating Company of the Year and the MTN Group President and CEO Award for an excellently executed 21 Days of Y’ello Care 2022 which was accompanied by a cash prize of E1.8 million.

MTN Eswatini attributed all the successes to its clientele and the nation at large.

While in Zambia, the CEO, Exco members and the whole MTN team paid a remarkable courtesy visit to Chief Mukuni of the Toka Leya People in Southern Province.

The purpose of the visit was aimed at introducing themselves to Chief Mukuni and express gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality during the MTN South and East Africa Annual Conference in Livingstone.
