In a heartwarming display of corporate generosity, global fastening solutions leader YKK has donated zippers worth E258 000 to Business Eswatini, in a bid to empower female entrepreneurs and strengthen small business development.
The substantial donation, delivered under YKK’s “Cycle of Goodness” initiative, was gratefully received by Business Women Eswatini Chairperson Tokky Hou.
This donation will support the Vukani BoMake project, a flagship initiative that provides crucial training, resources, and support to women entrepreneurs, particularly those in the textile and craft industries.
“We are beyond thankful to YKK for their continued support and belief in the potential of our women entrepreneurs. These zippers are more than just fasteners – they are connectors of dreams, growth, and opportunity,” said Chairperson Hou.
Further, the donation marked the second installment of YKK’s “Cycle of Goodness,” highlighting the importance of giving back to society and supporting initiatives that drive positive change. YKK believes that providing sustainable resources empowers entrepreneurs and uplifts communities.
“Our donation is a testament to our commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and uplifting communities. We believe that by providing sustainable resources, we can help create opportunities for growth and success,” said one YKK representative.
The partnership highlighted the power of public-private collaborations in driving economic development and empowering marginalized groups.
