Eswatini International Trade Fair Makes a Return In 2023

By Inside Biz

Eswatini’s biggest trade show the Eswatini International Trade Fair will make a return in 2023.

After taking a three-year break due to COVID-19, the organizers of the event, the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), are now taking applications from exhibitors within Eswatini and abroad.

Bongani Ntshangase, Head of Trade at EIPA comments, “We are pleased to be planning another EITF this year. EIPA’s mandate is to attract, promote, encourage, and facilitate local and foreign direct investment and trade in Eswatini for economic development. Hosting Eswatini’s biggest trade show forms part of the work we are doing to enhance the trade environment in the country. The event is designed to create business linkages between both the domestic and international communities and stimulate both local and foreign trade for the country. With that said, we would like to encourage potential exhibitors to submit their applications to us for this year’s event. This will allow them access to over 40 000 visitors and clients over the 10-day period.”

This year, the event will once again be hosted at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre between 1 and 10 September 2023. In previous years, the event featured over 300 exhibitors, boasting a plethora of activities related to business and social activities including seminars, exhibitions and product demo’s, fun fair games, music concerts, government services, and sports tournaments amongst many others.

Exhibitors who are interested in booking space at the Eswatini International Trade Fair can now do so by downloading the application form at https://investeswatini.org.sz/eswatini-international-trade-fair-2023/.

The deadline for applications is 31 May 2023. Exhibition space is not limited to big exhibitors only. Small, medium, and micro enterprises, can also book space by selecting the pricing options that are suitable for them.

Ntshangase concludes, “We would like to encourage businesses in any industry and of any size to apply to exhibit at this year’s EITF. One of the strengths of the event is how diverse the products and services on the show are for visitors. We would like to continue developing it ultimately developing its function as a central platform for all businesses across the country. The international aspect will also allow us to demonstrate that our country is truly open for business while encouraging export activity from Eswatini. Traders should be innovative in how they position their sales pitch to the public during the event. This approach will assist them in making the best of the EITF in developing their businesses.”
