Customers of Eswatini Bank will conduct their banking at any post office in the kingdom.
This was announced by the Executive Manager for Business Banking at Eswatini Bank Druce De Jesus Sargo at the second annual FINNOVATION FINTECH Summit, themed “Innovating for Inclusive Finance: Transforming Financial Inclusion Together.” at the Happy Valley Hotel.
Sargo mentioned that Eswatini Bank is dedicated to providing a convenient and efficient banking experience for its customers irrespective of location and age.
“As a leading financial institution in Eswatini, the bank is embracing digital transformation with innovative solutions such as electronic banking, mobile apps, and card payments to enhance accessibility and user-friendliness for both businesses and individuals.”
“To be financially inclusive the bank is proud to announce that any individual who holds a bank account with Eswatini Bank will be able to do all banking transactions at any post office around the kingdom. This includes withdrawing money and depositing money. All of this is done so that our customers in the more remote locations in the kingdom have access to their bank accounts without having to walk into an actual Eswatini Bank branch”.
Sago revealed that the initiative will be launched at the end of August 2024.
“We are already testing the initiative in various regions and we hope it will be launched before the end of August as part of our financial inclusion exercise. Additionally, we will also increase the points of sale for our ShareSha platform. Customers will be able to use their ShareSha at more pay points, such as supermarkets, grocery shops, hardware stores, and even petrol stations without the need to first access actual cash. It will be like using a bank card only this time customers will use their phones. This, we believe will make banking for our customers more convenient and accessible, especially for individuals who have various problems being registered as bankable all of these innovations align perfectly with digital innovation”.
