The Eswatini Water & Agricultural Development Enterprise (ESWADE) has been named the best exhibitor at this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).
His Majesty’s Correctional Services on the other hand walked away with the People’s Choice Overall Exhibitor Award.
The Minister of Commerce Industry & Trade Manqoba Khumalo announced the winners when officially closing this year’s edition.
When making his remarks, Khumalo, who spoke on behalf of the country’s Prime Minister, Cleopas Dlamini noted that the standard of exhibitions by companies was relatively high in this year’s EITF edition.
He said what pleased the government the most was the economic stimulation that took place over the last 10 days in the country.
“The amount of economic stimulation derived from the trade fair is enormous as many companies, contractors, traders, and vendors were engaged in business activities with benefits that extend beyond the 10 days.”
“I also note that members of the public came in large numbers which is an indication that business was supported by the local and international consumer base. It is worth noting that centralized consumer services platforms such as the Trade Fair are in high demand as customers visit the one platform to get services from a number of companies and organizations.”
The Minister further announced the date for next year’s edition. “The next challenge is to start planning and preparing for the next Trade Fair, which will be held from the 30th August to 8th September 2024. We are looking forward to an even bigger and better Trade Fair for 2024.”
Under the Parastalas category, the Eswatini National Petroleum Company (ENPC) was named the category winner. Data Net beat both MTN Eswatini and Eswatini Mobile in the Tech Companies category to emerge as the winner.
