DeltaPay and Instacash have announced a strategic partnership that aims to enhance digital payments and remittance services across Eswatini.
DeltaPay is a fintech platform designed to offer simple, secure, and affordable payment solutions for both individuals and businesses. With innovative features including cashback rewards and QR code payments, the platform’s mission is to foster a more inclusive financial ecosystem in Eswatini.
Instacash on the other hand is an independent provider of Electronic Money Transfer Services, operating effectively across all mobile networks in the country—MTN Eswatini and Eswatini Mobile. The platform enables its users to manage and carry out a wide range of financial transactions from their mobile phones, whether they have internet access or not.
The collaboration is important for both companies because they are both looking to simplify payments of goods and services for the end user.
The announcement was made at Instacash offices in Mbabane and was met with enthusiasm from the leadership of both companies. Adrian Koch, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DeltaPay, expressed excitement about the partnership’s potential to bridge existing financial gaps in Eswatini.
“This integration ensures that customers, regardless of their location, can access seamless digital payment solutions that make everyday transactions effortless and rewarding,” Koch stated.
Adding to this sentiment, Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo, Managing Director (MD) of Instacash, highlighted the necessity of such strategic collaborations in the current economic environment.
“Such critical collaborations are crucial for business, especially because we are at a point where we are driving more usage of the Instacash platform and more transactions. We are looking forward to more usage of both the Instacash platform and DeltaPay,” he said.
Nolwazi Sukati, Operations Manager at DeltaPay, revealed that under this new alliance, users of DeltaPay—an innovative fintech platform—will be able to seamlessly transfer funds to Instacash, enabling quick and reliable remittances to various communities, particularly those in rural areas.
“This capability will prove essential for families and individuals who depend on fast financial support from urban centres. On the flip side, Instacash users will now have the ability to send money to DeltaPay accounts, unlocking a suite of cashless payment solutions that include QR-based transactions, rewards programs, and enhanced financial management options,” she said.
Sukati added that the integration of these two platforms directly addresses the pressing financial needs of many Eswatini inhabitants.
“The aforementioned integration focuses on two primary areas: the facilitation of effortless payments and the enhancement of seamless remittances, which are integral for financial inclusivity in the kingdom,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Commercial Manager at Instacash, Bongani Dube, highlighted that financial inclusion has long been a critical issue in Eswatini, where many residents in rural and underserved areas struggle to access reliable financial services.
“DeltaPay’s advanced payment technology, coupled with Instacash’s extensive nationwide presence, including its reach into the rural fabric of the country, positions the partnership to create a holistic financial ecosystem. This is anticipated to offer essential solutions for consumers needing easier and more effective ways to manage their money,” he said.

According to Majaha Nkonyane, the Public Relations and Communications Team Leader at Instacash, the benefits of the partnership are:
- Instant Transfers: The integration allows instantaneous movement of funds between DeltaPay and Instacash, minimizing wait times that can hinder financial planning for families.
- Increased Accessibility: For existing Instacash customers, this partnership facilitates seamless payment options via DeltaPay, opening up an array of rewards previously unavailable.
- Secure Transactions: Security measures are paramount in banking and finance. Both platforms pledge strict adherence to the highest safety standards, ensuring that users can engage in transactions with confidence.
- Affordability: Reflecting the commitment to providing accessible financial services, the two companies will offer competitive fees that cater to the economic realities of their users.
In a bid to raise awareness about this partnership and engage with the community, DeltaPay and Instacash will host an activation at Mbabane Mall, on Saturday, 15 February 2025.
