Computronics Secures E900,000 Integrated Security Contract with ERS

The Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) has officially awarded the contract for the supply and installation of an integrated security system to Computronics System (Pty) Ltd.

Following a competitive bidding process, the Swati-owned technical firm emerged as the successful bidder with an evaluated price of E977,878.50.

This is according to the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) website, which published the service’s intention to award the contract.

The award to Computronics System (Pty) Ltd follows the disqualification of other local contenders. Specifically, Destiny Group was unsuccessful in its bid after the evaluation committee determined that the firm did not fully meet the comprehensive technical requirements outlined in the tender documents.

In a similar vein, Jireh Technologies was eliminated from the running for failing to adhere to the administrative guidelines of the process. The firm was found to have omitted essential mandatory documentation, which is a prerequisite for any bidder to be considered responsive under the Public Procurement Act.

These disqualifications ultimately cleared the path for Computronics System (Pty) Ltd, which was the only bidder to satisfy both the technical and compliance benchmarks necessary to secure the E977,878.50 contract.

The scope of the project is comprehensive, centering on the modernization of security protocols at ERS facilities through a unified technological platform. According to the tender specifications, the contract involves the installation of a sophisticated integrated security system that synchronizes multiple surveillance and monitoring layers. This typically includes the deployment of high-definition CCTV cameras, advanced intrusion alarms, and biometric access control systems, all managed through a centralized command interface to ensure real-time threat detection and response.

A key component of the scope is the integration aspect, which requires Computronics to ensure that disparate security elements, such as panic buttons, sensors, and electronic gates, communicate seamlessly within a single management framework. Beyond the physical hardware, the project encompasses the necessary digital architecture and software configuration to support high-scale data feeds and secure user interfaces for ERS security personnel.

“Further, in terms of section 45(4), 46, and 47 of the Act, all tenderers who submitted bids are hereby notified that a period of ten (10) working days is hereby allowed for submission of any application for review from the above stated date of first publication of this notice,” reads the intention to award the contract.
