As the Kingdom of Eswatini celebrates the historic Ruby Jubilee and 58th Birthday of His Majesty King Mswati III, the Chief Executive Officer of the Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) Futhi Tembe has delivered a powerful tribute, framing the milestone not only as a celebration of royal legacy, but as a call to collective national endurance, embodied in the 2026 Imbube Marathon.
In a message rich with symbolism, CEO Tembe congratulated His Majesty King Mswati III on a reign defined by stability, cultural preservation, and progressive nation-building, noting that the Jubilee represents “a living testament to resilience, unity, and a shared national vision.”
She also congratulated Her Majesty the Indlovukazi for being a pillar of strength and support for His Majesty and the Nation.
“As a nation, we celebrate not just the years of His Majesty’s reign, but the enduring spirit he has instilled in every liSwati, the spirit to persevere, to build, and to run the race of development with purpose,” CEO Tembe said.
Drawing a compelling parallel between the monarchy’s legacy and the ethos of long-distance running, the CEO positioned this year’s Imbube Marathon as more than a sporting event. It is a national metaphor.
“The Imbube Marathon reflects the very journey of our Kingdom, one of endurance, discipline, and unwavering focus. Just like His Majesty’s leadership over the past decades, it reminds us that true greatness is achieved over time, through consistency and vision.”
The ENPF, now marking its own evolution as a cornerstone of economic security, used the moment to reaffirm its commitment to national development under what CEO Tembe described as a “sovereign vision”, a long-term ambition to transform lives and secure futures for emaSwati.
She emphasised that the marathon, internationally recognised and attracting elite athletes from across the globe, has become “Eswatini’s gift to the world,” elevating the country’s profile while fostering unity at home.
“This year’s Imbube Marathon carries the spirit of the Ruby Jubilee. It is a celebration in motion, where every effort taken by runners reflects the strides our nation has made under His Majesty’s leadership.”

CEO Tembe further highlighted that the marathon’s global accreditation ensures Eswatini remains firmly on the international athletics map, reinforcing the Kingdom’s growing stature as a destination for world-class sporting excellence.
Yet beyond elite competition, the heart of the event remains deeply human.
“Whether it is an elite athlete chasing qualification or a community member walking for health, every participant becomes part of a greater national story, one that honours our past and runs boldly into the future.”
In tying together monarchy, movement, and momentum, the ENPF’s message resonates clearly: the Ruby Jubilee is not just a reflection, it is a relay, passed from leadership to citizens, from legacy to action.
And in 2026, as thousands take to the road for the Imbube Marathon, they will not simply be running a race, they will be carrying forward the enduring legacy of a Kingdom in stride.
