2023 EITF Business Seminars Programme Announced

The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has announced the business seminar programme for this year’s edition of the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).

EIPA Head of Trade Bongani Ntshangase notes that it gives them great pleasure to once again host business seminars, as they are aware of the value they bring to exhibitors, entrepreneurs and emaSwati in general.

“We find it important to spend time creating a programme of business seminars that will add value to our visitors during the Trade Fair. As much as people go to the trade fair to get updated about what various companies in Eswatini are doing, it is also an added advantage if they can walk away with the knowledge that will bolster their skills and elevate their business acumen. This is what we seek to do by providing these seminars.”

The business seminar programme is as follows:

Monday, 4 September

10 am: Unpacking Labour Opportunities in the USA

2 pm: Entrepreneurship for Export to the USA

Tuesday, 5 September

10 am: Enhancing Trade through Social Media Marketing & PR

2 pm: Leveraging on E-Commerce for Trade

Wednesday, 6 September

10 am: Opportunities for Youth in Business

2 pm: Positioning the Youth for AfCFTA

Thursday, 7 September

10 am: Business Opportunities in Africa

2 pm: Opportunities for local businesses

Friday, 8 September

10 am: Vusumnotfo Business Indzaba

2 pm: Vusumnotfo Business Indzaba

Apart from the business seminars, visitors can also look forward to exposure to over 300 exhibitors during the 10-day exhibition.

The opening ceremony on 2 September, will once again be a free event where emaSwati can look forward to entertainment and business activities to kick start their EITF experience.

Visitors to the EITF can also enter the Win a Car competition at the Trade Fair. The Kia model which is up for grabs at the Trade Fair is the popular SUV the Kia Sonet.

The vehicle is sponsored by WesBank and Kia Motors Eswatini. To enter the competition, emaSwati need to visit the Eswatini International Trade Fair from 1 to 10 September 2023, visit the stands at the Trade Fair and gather stamps on their entry form.

The entry form should then be dropped into the entry box. The winner will be announced during the EITF closing ceremony.

In addition to Kia and WesBank, the Eswatini International Trade Fair has this year signed on partners including FNB, Building Society, Mula Sport, Corban Electrical, Eswatini TV, Eswatini Observer, VOC FM and EBIS. More partners will be announced in due course.

During the 10 days, there will be free access to government and health services as well as information sessions and product demos.

The EITF will also host all-night gigs, a Gospel Sunday Event as well as a Spring Bash. An African Carnival, fashion show and comedy show will also form part of the proceedings during the course of the EITF.

EIPA notes that entry fees for these entertainment items will be announced to the public in due course through the media and other platforms.

Kids Fun Fair games will also make a return to the EITF this year attracting children and adults from all corners of the country. The entry fee is E20 for kids and E30 for adults.
