The University of Eswatini (UNESWA) Foundation has rebranded its EMVASI Alumni Club, unveiling a new logo as part of an ambitious initiative to strengthen alumni engagement.

The unveiling of the logo took place during the campaign’s launch event last week and was described as a reflection of the Foundation’s vision to forge stronger connections with its Alumni, while simultaneously investing in future-focused infrastructure projects.

The sleek new design incorporates the Foundation’s signature colours, blending modernity with tradition to appeal to the wide base of UNESWA graduates.

“The new logo is more than just a visual change—it represents our renewed commitment to alumni engagement and the university’s future growth,” Vuli Simelane, the CEO of UNESWA Foundation, said. “It’s a symbol of unity and progress, which are the core values driving this campaign.”

The CEO disclosed that the funds raised through the campaign will be directed toward critical upgrades and new projects across the Kwaluseni, Luyengo, and Mbabane campuses.

These developments include roadworks, hostel refurbishments, healthcare facility expansions, and enhancing technology and innovation capacities to ensure a world-class academic environment. A detailed breakdown shows that 55.8% of the funds will be directed to the Kwaluseni Campus, 36.6% to Luyengo, and 7.6% to the Mbabane Campus.

He further noted that the EMVASI Alumni Club members will be instrumental in raising these funds, with the campaign structured around four membership tiers: Quantum, Equilibrium, Vantage, and Elementary.

“These plans offer the Alumni a range of benefits, including access to exclusive Alumni events, a complimentary starter pack gift hamper, and loyalty rewards. The new logo will be featured on the club’s membership cards and other official materials, further cementing the alumni’s sense of belonging and identity within the university’s community.”

The membership drive offers early registrants not only discounted fees but also a chance to win a VIP Gala Dinner ticket worth over E500.

The Foundation is encouraging the Alumni to register during the initial phases—dubbed “First Movers,” “Early Birds,” and “Patriots”—to take advantage of discounted fees, ranging from E125 to E175. The full registration fee after the discount period will rise to E250.

Simelane noted that the EMVASI Alumni Club provides several flexible payment options to accommodate different financial capacities. Alumni can choose between monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, or annual payments, with upfront payments qualifying for an additional 10% discount.

For instance, the annual Quantum membership costs E2,500, but the discounted upfront payment reduces it to E2,250. These contributions will directly fund the university’s much-needed infrastructure improvements.

“This campaign is about more than just improving infrastructure—it’s about laying the foundation for future generations,” Dr. Thabile Nkambule, a member of the executive committee of the UNESWA Alumni Association said. “The new logo marks the beginning of a new era of alumni involvement, and we’re excited to see the impact this will have on UNESWA’s future.”

To facilitate easy registration, the Club has launched an online registration portal where alumni can select their preferred membership plans and make payments. The website prominently features the newly unveiled logo, further solidifying the club’s brand identity.
