The Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival has proved not only to be a popular lifestyle event but also a platform which has helped brands and companies who exhibited at the festival to grow their brand value and exposure.
Cheila Vovos, the key Accounts Manager for Lactalis Eswatini in an interview with Inside Biz at the festival noted that their brand has gained more awareness because of exhibiting at this year’s Standard Bank Luju & Lifestyle Festival. The company was showcasing President, the cheese brand which is one of its flagship brands. “President is one of Lactalis Eswatini’s many brands, and today at the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival, we present to you President. This festival is so aligned and relevant for our product as this is a brand that defines high-end cooking and high-end living. So today, as the festival tagline says ‘Eat, Sway, Love’ and what goes perfectly with wine, for instance? Cheese, hence we present our product pairing today”
She added that being part of the festival has enabled them to engrave the President brand into cheese and wine culture in the country. Cheila disclosed that this was evidenced by their stand being one of the busiest for people wanting to take pictures at the festival, and she believes that they have achieved their goal of imprinting cheese and wine into consumers’ minds.

Nomphumelelo Hlophe, the founder of Tandla Tami, a small medium enterprise (SME) business said their brand awareness has grown so much since exhibiting at the festival. Tandla Tami is a business that does handmade accessories using recycled items and natural items. “A lot of people came by our stall, and openly appreciated what we do as a business, people have been amazing as they have been sharing our work on social media, which is just priceless,” she said.
Luna Hair + Body an SME beauty business focusing on natural hair and body products observed that their brand received so much exposure at the festival. “Being here has presented our brand with so much exposure. Currently, we have trading space at Mantenga and other places, but what we have noted is that most people were not aware of us, yet they have shown a great demand for our products primarily because of its organic nature” she noted.
The 2022 Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival was hosted by House on Fire with generous support from Standard Bank Eswatini, as the headline sponsor.
