The Eswatini CEO Outlook 2022 has revealed that 26% of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) in the country reach four to five hours of sleep on average per night.
The report was compiled earlier this year by Talanta.co; a specialist business consultancy operating across the African continent. The report surveyed over 100 CEOs in the country from different sectors of the economy.
CEOs when asked how many hours of sleep they get on an average night, “26% said they reach four to five hours of sleep on average, while 27% said they get six hours. A total of 47% said they get seven to eight hours of sleep per night”.
Furthermore, CEOs stated that they carry a heavy workload, as the issues they confront nowadays add fresh layers, which in a nutshell means that their job description got a bit more complex.
On a positive note, CEOs in Eswatini highlighted the value their employees bring to their organizations as a critical operational priority in achieving their growth objectives. CEOs are, however, concerned about the well-being of employees. “87% of CEOs are either concerned or highly concerned about the declining well-being of employees. They believe the accelerated pace of digital transformation through the pandemic will not be sustainable without first addressing burnout among their workforces”
In terms of spending, 100% of CEOs indicated that they will increase spending when it comes to digital transformation. 94% of CEOs plan on investing more to cyber-proof their organizations with more investments in cyber security and data privacy.
