Public voting for the 2025 Made in Eswatini Consumer Choice Awards has officially opened, with members of the public able to choose from 130 local brands.
The announcement was made by Chairman of A Peculiar People, the organizing agency behind the national initiative, Melusi Zox Dlamini. In a press release, Dlamini stated that the excitement for the awards is palpable across the Kingdom.
“This year’s campaign showcases over 130 proudly Swati brands, each representing the creativity, quality, and resilience that define Eswatini’s entrepreneurial spirit,” he said.
“From beauty products to beverages, innovation to experiences, the Made in Eswatini Consumer Choice Awards are more dynamic, inclusive, and consumer-focused than ever before.”
Dlamini further invited the public to vote now at www.madeineswatini.africa, where they can show love to the brands they use, trust, and believe in.
“This is a chance for consumers to support the local brands that they use and trust. Every vote is a declaration of pride in Eswatini’s creativity, quality, and entrepreneurship,” he said.
In partnership with MTN Eswatini Fintech, the voting platform has undergone final technical checks to ensure seamless integration with MoMo (Mobile Money). This means that voting and paying for the vote has never been easier.
“Simply click, confirm, and vote using your MoMo account, all from the comfort of your phone,” Dlamini said. “Accessibility and ease of use are key. We encourage all consumers to take a few moments to vote, making sure that their voices count.”
Dlamini explained that for 2025, the awards feature two distinct but complementary elements: public voting, where the voice of the consumer takes centre stage, and jury categories, where a panel of experts will carry out a technical and strategic assessment.
The public voting categories empower consumers directly, while jury categories will ensure strategic evaluation and expert recognition.
“Together, these two elements will ensure we reward both popularity and performance of a brand,” Dlamini said.
Notably, the product with the highest number of public votes overall will be crowned the Made in Eswatini Product of the Year 2025 – a title that will go to the brand that resonates most with the consumers.
The Jury Categories, to be announced soon, will shine a light on youth-led brands, women-driven innovation, sustainability champions, and brands making social impact.
“These stories matter, and they deserve to be celebrated. Support has poured in from across sectors,” he said.

The Awards Ceremony will take place on 25 July 2025 at Brackenhill in Mbabane, and it will be a daytime event curated to honour excellence, elevate local brands, and ignite national pride.
In keeping with the theme, Her Royal Highness Princess Sakhizwe encouraged all guests to embrace the Made in Eswatini spirit through their attire, saying, “Dress warm, and wear earth tones that reflect the beauty of our land. Support local fashion. Be local. Be proud.”
“As a nation, we now have the opportunity to shape the narrative of what it means to be proudly Swati,” she concluded.
