The Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) Eswatini will be conducting its second training course in November 2022. The training is a 5-day course on the Essentials of Graphic Design targeting professionals in public relations and marketing communications in Eswatini and beyond. The training will run virtually from 7 to 11 November 2022.

“Graphic design has become an essential skill, not only for communication and marketing professionals but for everyone who needs to communicate effectively in this highly competitive and dynamic digital world,” says Sibusiso Mngadi, PRISA Eswatini Deputy Chairperson.

The Institute says the course was decided after a rigorous process involving consultations, industry players, and prospective members of our new organization.

“We saw the need to have graphic design skills to create great content that is also visually appealing and contributes to creating an impeccable brand. With the internet and social media, our brands are already participating on the global stage among other big brands. It is essential to stand out and be recognizable in an appealing way.” notes the Deputy Chairperson.

The one-week training will be facilitated by two industry experts, Rudolph Pieterse, Managing Director and Training Director at www.ofcourseyoucan.com and Multidimensions in Cape Town in SA as well as Lwazi Ian Dlamini, a Communication and Graphic Designer at the Central Bank of Eswatini.

Mngadi notes that the training will cover graphic design theory, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Adobe Express CC, Canva, and Mailchimp and will run from 09h00 to 13h00 daily on the Zoom platform. Delegates can either enroll for the full week or choose individual courses or modules. If they book before 15 October, they will get the individual courses for E1 750.00 and the full week for E6 500.00. The normal price for individual courses is E2 450.00 and the full week enrollment is E9 800.00.

Mngadi explained that this course is one of the series of training courses to be hosted by PRISA Eswatini. “In our assessment, there were various expressed needs for training and we are working on addressing them together with our professional experts in the membership,” says Mngadi. “We will soon be issuing an invitation or expression of interest for local trainers and consultants to partner with us in delivering these pieces of training. We want to make sure that we can draw from local expertise while we also learn from globally recognized experience and expertise that we can draw from other countries.” The deadline to register for the graphics design course is 30 October 2022.

Applicants can visit www.prisatraining.com to register and get more details about the
course. PRISA Eswatini is offering the course for free to a selected number of University of
