The Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) 2024 has secured over E1 million in sponsorships, marking a significant financial boost for the event.

The latest contributions come from Eswatini Bank and MulaSport, adding a sum of E350,000 to the previously announced sponsorships from FNB Eswatini and Jenny Internet Eswatini, underscoring the strong support from the local business community.

Eswatini Bank has committed E150,000 to the EITF 2024, with E50,000 allocated to a mobile kitchen that will be awarded to the best vendor among the informal traders participating in the trade fair. This initiative aims to empower small businesses and promote entrepreneurship within the Kingdom.

The remaining E100,000 will support the operational needs of the trade fair, ensuring the event runs smoothly and meets the high expectations of both exhibitors and attendees.

On the other hand, MulaSport has contributed E200,000 to the EITF 2024, aimed at enhancing the sports and cultural components of the event. Their sponsorship will support a variety of sporting events, including volleyball, basketball, and netball, as well as cultural dance performances. This investment reflects MulaSport’s dedication to nurturing local talent and promoting Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage.

These new sponsorships add to the already significant backing for the EITF 2024. FNB Eswatini previously announced a sponsorship of E430,000, demonstrating their commitment to supporting local enterprises and innovation.

Additionally, Jenny Internet Eswatini pledged E250,000 to provide free WiFi access to all attendees throughout the 10-day event, reinforcing the importance of connectivity in today’s digital age.

The total value of the sponsorships now stands at E1,030,000, showcasing the immense trust and confidence that Eswatini’s business community places in the EITF as a key driver of economic development.

This financial support is crucial in ensuring that the trade fair, themed “Accelerating Business Growth Through Digital Transformation,” will be a resounding success.

“The success of the Eswatini International Trade Fair relies on the synergy between all sponsors and stakeholders,” Sphesihle Nkhabindze, the EITF spokesperson, said. “We are grateful for the trust and support we’ve received from sponsors and partners. Their contributions not only ensure the success of this year’s fair but also highlight the importance of collaboration in driving Eswatini toward a brighter and more prosperous future.”

Set to take place from 30 August to 8 September 2024, the EITF 2024 promises to be a landmark event, offering a unique blend of business exhibitions, cultural showcases, and sporting events.

The strong backing from local businesses not only ensures the success of the trade fair, but also highlights the importance of collaboration in driving Eswatini toward a brighter and more prosperous future.
