The Eswatini Development Finance Corporation (FINCORP) Group, has appointed Mrs. Nozipho Dlamini for the Chief Insurance Officer (CIO) position in its insurance subsidiary company, Finsure Assurance Limited. She assumed the position with effect from February 1, 2023.
Finsure Assurance Limited is a Swati-owned business established in 1995 as an insurance broker and fully accredited by the Registrar of Insurance and Retirement Funds. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of FINCORP, alongside another subsidiary called FIRST FINANCE.
From October 1, 2021, Finsure Insurance Brokers was upgraded to a long term insurance company known as Finsure Assurance Limited. The company offers Long-Term Insurance with a significant proportion being Credit Life Insurance.
However, in the medium to long term, Finsure Assurance Limited intends to upgrade the operation to become a fully-fledged Short and Long-Term Insurance Company offering a wide range of products.
In a press release issued by Manqoba Makhubu- FINCORP Group Brand Development & Communications Officer, the company noted that Dlamini brings to the company over 10 years of experience in the field of long-term insurance.
The Group states that it expects the newly appointed CIO to use her extensive industry experience to spearhead the operations of FINSURE to new heights, starting with taking lead in the formulation of a new five year strategic plan for the company.
The Group also reveals that before taking on the new role at Finsure Assurance Limited, Dlamini was Head of Long-Term Insurance Business Development Manager at Old Mutual Eswatini. She has also served in other companies within the financial services sector.
FINCORP Group Managing Director (GMD) Dumisani Msibi said they are pleased to welcome Dlamini to the FINCORP Group and believe she has all the requisite professional skills and managerial experience required to succeed as the Head of the insurance subsidiary company.
“We look forward to seeing the company grow from strength to strength under the leadership of the new Chief Insurance Officer” he noted.
Meanwhile, Dlamini said she was honored by the confidence the FINCORP Group has placed on her.

I know that I can count on the highly skilled and experienced team in the company. As a collective we will strive to deliver value and a pleasant customer experience through our services”, she said.
Dlamini is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Management from the International University of Applied Sciences. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Henley Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Eswatini (UNESWA). She also has a certificate in Long Term Insurance from the Moonstone Business School.
