Nonkululeko Gobodo to Share Secrets of Leadership Grit and Resilience at LGF Exclusive Leadership Event

The Leadership Growth Forum (LGF) will host an exclusive event titled “Mastering Leadership: Grit & Resilience” on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Mountain View Hotel in Mbabane, designed to empower middle and senior-level leaders, as well as aspiring professionals determined to lead with impact.

The event will feature renowned business leader and author Nonkululeko Gobodo, who will share powerful insights from her acclaimed book “Awakened… to My True Self.”

The program will kick off with a keynote address unpacking how grit and resilience can transform leadership approaches, build stronger teams, and drive sustainable success. This will be followed by a moderated fireside chat and an interactive question and answer session where participants will engage directly with Gobodo in a rich exchange of ideas and practical strategies.

The evening will conclude with an exclusive book signing and photo opportunity, offering attendees a chance to connect personally with the author and walk away with a valuable resource to support their leadership journey.

Gobodo is the Founder and CEO of AWAKENED Global, a transformative social initiative committed to achieving true liberation from gender and racial inequality, particularly for women and black people. A trailblazer in her field, she is widely recognized as the first black woman to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa, achieving this historic milestone in 1987.

Gobodo is also the former Chairman and founder of SizweNtsalubaGobodo (now SNG Grant Thornton), the largest black-owned auditing and accounting firm in South Africa. In 2011, she played a pivotal role in leading the successful merger of Gobodo Inc. and SizweNtsaluba to form SizweNtsalubaGobodo, a landmark achievement that reshaped the accounting profession in South Africa.

LGF Media and Public Liaison Officer, Phiwe Dlamini, said this event is ideal for middle and senior leaders seeking to strengthen their leadership skills, aspiring leaders preparing to take on greater responsibilities, and professionals passionate about personal growth and resilient leadership.

“In an increasingly complex world, leadership grit and resilience are not optional; they are essential. The LGF event provides a rare opportunity to learn from an accomplished leader, engage with peers, and gain actionable insights that will help leaders navigate complexity with confidence. Don’t miss this chance to invest in your leadership growth and become part of a thriving community committed to overcoming challenges and inspiring change,” she said.
