
The partnership between MTN Fintech Services and Pick n Pay means customers do not have to withdraw their MTN MoMo amount. The service will come at a total of one percent of the total price of purchase, and will, however, not exceed E10.

MTN Fintech Services, the 100% MTN Eswatini – owned company has officially launched the acceptance of #MoMo in all Pick n Pay Eswatini Stores. This is an expansion of their MoMoPay service which seeks to provide convenient retail payments for MoMo users.
To make payments at PnP, all you need is to have your MoMo with you as you purchase in the shop. At the tills, Request to Pay with MoMo, then enter your MoMo Number on the till terminal (speed point). Approve your MoMo account (*007# or the MoMoApp) by entering your MoMo Pin and you’re done!

In launching the service, Sam Shongwe, the company’s CEO said “It is a great pleasure for us as a company to partner with PnP Eswatini stores in our endeavour to make payments easier and better through MoMo Services.” He also reiterated the company’s desire to grow the value created through exploring Fintech-related growth.
Assuring he said, “ We have been in a pilot phase with PnP for over two months now and through their collaboration, we have gotten to today’s launch with confidence that this is a platform that can carry the demands of PNPs customers. We thank all the customers who participated in our pilot and the feedback they shared on the service”.
The event was well attended by MTN’s top brass including CEO Wandile Mtshali, Thandazile Dlamini, Mphumzeni Lukhele, Happy Mavimbela, and Chris Wasswa.
