MTN LAUNCHES FAK’IVIBE CAMPAIGN!

By Ayanda Dlamini

MTN Eswatini has officially launched its Fak’ivibe campaign, introducing a fresh and flexible approach to how customers use data and airtime.

The campaign marks a significant shift toward convenience, simplicity, and real value, allowing users to enjoy 24-hour data bonuses, second-based billing for calls, and extended validity on Lula Combo bonuses.

MTN’s new Fak’ivibe campaign promises to change the game, letting you use your data whenever you want and pay only for what you actually use. And there’s more: those Lula Combo bonuses now last a full 24 hours, instead of vanishing at midnight. It’s data, airtime, and bonuses, all on your time.

Announcing the move at Mahlalekhukhwini House, MTN Eswatini Acting Chief Marketing Officer Meshack Maseko noted that Fak’ivibe replaces the previous Anytime and Night bundles with simpler, more flexible packages that match the rhythm of modern life.

“We designed Fak’ivibe to fit how our customers live, work, and play—without limits or time-based restrictions,” said Maseko.

“This is more than just a new offer; it’s a new way of experiencing MTN.”

Through Fak’ivibe, MTN Eswatini aims to make connectivity more personal and enjoyable, ensuring that customers can stay connected on their own terms whether streaming, studying, working, or sharing life’s moments, according to Maseko.

A Movement for Every Liswati- MTN CEO

MTN Eswatini Interim, Chief Executive Officer, Jerry Soko, described the newly launched Fak’ivibe campaign as more than just a product launch, calling it “a movement that invites every LiSwati to step boldly into the digital future.”

Speaking at the official unveiling, Soko said the campaign represents a collective commitment to digital inclusion and empowerment across the kingdom.

“At MTN Eswatini, we are deeply aligned with the government’s vision for a digitally empowered nation,” he said.

“We commend the minister and ministry of ICT for their unwavering commitment to inclusive digital transformation. This vision is not just about technology, it’s about people. It’s about ensuring that every citizen, from the bustling streets of Mbabane to the quiet corners of rural Eswatini, has access to tools that enable connection, growth, and opportunity.”

Soko emphasized that MTN views itself not merely as a service provider, but as a digital life partner for every customer.

“Our mission is to walk with you every step of the way as you navigate the digital era. Whether connecting with loved ones, accessing education, building a business, or streaming your favorites show on Netflix, we are here for you,” he said.

Reflecting on the company’s approach to innovation, the CEO noted that Fak’ivibe was shaped by customer feedback and a clear understanding of user needs.

“Over the past year, we’ve listened. We’ve heard your voices, your concerns about affordability, your desire for better data experiences, and your need for flexibility. And today, we respond,” he explained. “With Fak’ivibe, we introduce new and revamped packages that speak directly to your needs. These offerings are not just competitive, they are compassionate.”

Highlighting MTN’s commitment to youth empowerment and community development, Soko said the company’s initiatives go beyond connectivity.

“Through enhanced offerings like Lula Combos, we are empowering young people to access learning platforms, job opportunities, and creative spaces. And through programmes like Y’ello Care and our Trade Partner initiatives, we are investing in communities, nurturing entrepreneurship, and building a more inclusive digital society.

Fak’ivibe Campaign Champions Digital Inclusion

The Minister of ICT, Savannah Maziya, has commended MTN Eswatini for its ongoing efforts to make data more accessible and affordable, particularly for the youth and tertiary students who depend on connectivity for education, innovation, and communication.

Speaking during the official launch of the MTN Fak’ivibe brand campaign, Minister Maziya described the initiative as a timely and transformative step toward achieving Eswatini’s digital vision.

“Allow me to commend you, MTN Eswatini, for your noticeable efforts in making data more accessible and affordable, especially for our youth and tertiary students who rely heavily on connectivity for online learning and innovation,” she said.

“When we bridge the digital divide in our universities and communities, we unlock the future of this nation.”

She added that the Fak’ivibe campaign and the revamped Lula Combos reflect MTN’s genuine commitment to youth empowerment and customer-centric innovation, aligning perfectly with the Ministry of ICT’s Digitilisation Agenda aimed at ensuring no citizen is left behind.

“We appreciate MTN’s dedication to community impact through programmes such as Y’ello Care and the empowerment of small businesses through trade partnerships,” the Minister continued.

“As a government, we encourage continued collaboration, especially toward rural connectivity, digital skills development, and expanding access to ICT tools in schools and institutions nationwide.”

Minister Maziya reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to driving inclusive digital transformation and ensuring equitable access to technology, information, and opportunity for all Emaswati.

“Connectivity is a service that every Liswati deserves, regardless of their demographic location,” she emphasized.

The Minister further highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration in accelerating national progress.
