The spirit of partnership, innovation, and national pride filled the Hilton Garden Inn, as MTN Eswatini hosted the Y’ello Care Partners Appreciation Breakfast, an event that celebrated collaboration, community empowerment, and a continental triumph.

The breakfast followed MTN Eswatini’s remarkable achievement in winning the MTN Group President and CEO Award for Y’ello Care 2025, alongside the accolade for Best Use of Digital Platforms.

The honour recognized the company’s outstanding impact through its annual volunteerism and community empowerment initiative.

Opening the celebration, MTN Eswatini’ Acting CEO Jerry Soko described the award not as a corporate milestone, but as “a shared victory, a testament to the power of collaboration.”

“Today we gather not just to share a meal, but to celebrate a shared purpose and a monumental achievement,” said Soko.

“The Group President and CEO Award for Y’ello Care 2025 is not an MTN award; it is our shared victory. It is the clearest testament to the power of our collaboration.”

The company expressed gratitude to its partners across sectors; government, corporate, and civil society; for believing in MTN’s vision to make a tangible and lasting impact on communities.

“Our commitment, exemplified by the Fak’ivibe campaign, is simple: we grow with our communities,” the Acting CEO emphasized.

Under the 2025 theme “Connecting Communities Through Digital Platforms,” MTN Eswatini and its partners has delivered measurable impact across key sectors of society, demonstrating that technology and compassion can transform lives when intertwined. “These numbers speak to a simple truth,” he added.

“Our partners are the heartbeat of this success. At MTN, we don’t just build networks; we build futures. We are committed to being a true digital life partner; improving the lives of Emaswati in every sector, from education and health to entrepreneurship.”

Beyond 21 Days: A Legacy of Impact

While the Y’ello Care campaign officially runs for 21 days each year across MTN markets, the company reiterated that the spirit of service endures year-round.

With its newly earned USD $80,000 prize, MTN Eswatini has pledged to scale its community impact in 2026, expanding its footprint to reach more vulnerable communities and tackle broader social challenges.

“The spirit of Y’ello Care lasts far beyond 21 days,” said the MTN leadership. “This investment will allow us to reach more communities, solve more challenges, and create even greater opportunities. To our partners, you are the reason we won. To our staff, you are the soul of this campaign. And to our communities; you are the reason we exist.”
