The Leadership Growth Forum (LGF), a not-for-profit forum that offers exposure to global thought leadership and key leadership resources, has launched a Youth Chapter to mentor and empower young people in Eswatini.
The Youth Chapter aims to mobilize Eswatini youth and expose them to global thought leadership and best practices through mentorship, coaching, and developmental programs.
The targeted audience for this initiative is young people between the ages of 18 and 35, who will be grouped into two cohorts; professional and entrepreneurial.
The LGF seeks to reach the youth at every level: young people enrolled in tertiary institutions, graduates, unemployed youth, and the hustling youth (youth in entrepreneurship). Eswatini youth affiliated with the LGF will experience the different development programs that have been prepared, starting with a mentorship experience.
Young people who are members of the LGF will have access to a mentor from the LGF community of experienced professionals and entrepreneurs. Other membership benefits are to be outlined at a later stage.
The LGF has announced four official phases concerning mentor recruitment, selection, and preparation: call for mentors, mentors selection by the LGF team, onboarding/training of mentors, and pairing mentors with mentees.
The LGF has invited its members and other prospective candidates to volunteer as mentors. Individuals will be asked to formally apply and provide updated CVs, portrait photos, and an indication of which cohort they wish to mentor (professional or entrepreneurial).
The LGF is a forum that aims to enrich leaders and aspiring leaders with global thought leadership skills and best practices, through its networking and knowledge sharing opportunities.
Through its events, the LGF has hosted the likes of renowned South African Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng, Professor Thuli Madonsela, author and boundaries coach Ndumie Hadebe, author KC Rottok Chesaina, corporate climber Mlungisi Ndwandwe, amongst many others.
