FNB Eswatini Launches Swipe for the WIN Campaign with E100,000 in Prizes

On Tuesday, FNB Eswatini officially unveiled the “Swipe for the WIN” campaign at Mica Hardware and Spar Matsapha Lifestyle. The initiative is designed to reward customers who use their FNB cards at selected retailers, with E100,000 in cash prizes up for grabs over six weeks.

According to FNB Head of Transact and Deposits, Nosizwe Sigwane, the campaign is part of the bank’s continued efforts to entrench a culture of safe, cashless transactions.

“Throughout our 30 years of serving Eswatini, we have always prioritised placing our customers’ needs at the centre of our innovation, enabling convenience for our customers, and we are proud to have provided the ease of swiping since 1996.

Swiping has many benefits, one of which is convenience. It is also safe and allows our customers to carry less cash while they do their shopping. In addition, swiping allows our customers to be more in charge of their spending by easily tracking and managing their budget,” she said.

Sigwane added that the campaign is inclusive, with participating retailers spread across all four regions of Eswatini to give every customer a fair chance of winning.

“We are a business that serves Eswatini in its entirety, and as we have been saying throughout the year of our 30th birthday celebration, ‘Sitintile Eswatini futsi asiyindzawo.’ Whichever region of the country you are in, you have a chance to win by just swiping your FNB card at one of 30 retailers countrywide,” she added.

Golfer Raymond Mathonsi was one of the first winners at Spar Matsapha Lifestyle and thanked the bank for giving back to its customers. “It feels good to have free lunch. I hadn’t planned on buying something big, but it’s a good initiative, we are grateful. I swipe all the time, and I love the convenience it brings,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nomalungelo Sukati said swiping allowed her to spend her money more efficiently.

“I am so excited to have won! I wasn’t expecting such. Thank you so much, FNB. I prefer swiping over using cash because it helps me save and track my spending. When I have cash, I end up using it haphazardly, so swiping helps me save a lot,” she said.
