FNB Eswatini has been recognized as a Top Employer in Eswatini and across Africa for 2025 by the Top Employers Institute.
This announcement was made during the bank’s annual financial results presentation held last week. The Top Employers Institute, based in the Netherlands, certifies organizations worldwide that meet high standards in HR practices.
The Top Employer certification is awarded to organizations that meet top international standards in HR practices. The evaluation includes key areas such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Wellbeing, Diversity and Inclusion, and Leadership Development.
Veronica Ntshalintshali, Chief People Officer at FNB Eswatini, explained the importance of this recognition, saying the bank remains committed to providing value to its employees.

“We aim to be a leading employer not only in Eswatini but throughout Africa and beyond. Our people matter greatly, and over recent months, we have worked hard, listening to staff feedback, to address concerns and strengthen our Employee Value Proposition for today and the future. I am truly pleased with this achievement and quite surprised by our performance. While we aimed for the Red Seal recognition at the national level, securing the Blue Seal for regional excellence is an incredible milestone that highlights our teams’ dedication and our people-first culture,” she said.
CEO Thokozani ‘TK’ Dlamini praised the bank’s leadership. “FNB Eswatini is guided by a distinguished and diverse Board of Directors, whose expertise spans multiple industries and disciplines. Their knowledge, strategic oversight, and governance underpin our ability to deliver sustainable value to stakeholders in a changing business landscape,” he noted.

Dlamini also mentioned recent changes within the bank’s Executive Management Team, now with a 50/50 gender balance. “In November last year, we welcomed Veronica Ntshalintshali as our new Chief People Officer, responsible for leading our human capital strategy and ensuring we continue to attract, develop, and retain top talent. We are also pleased to introduce our Chief Marketing Officer, Sibusile Dlamini, who joined us in May and has made a significant impact with her contributions across the business. Lastly, we are proud to announce the appointment of Thandeka Dlamini as our new Chief Operating Officer, effective 1 August 2025. She previously served seven years as Executive Head of Credit and now takes on this vital role, becoming the first woman in FNB Eswatini’s 30-year history to hold this position. This completes our Executive Management team with a 50/50 gender split, a commendable achievement,” he added.
This year, FNB Eswatini marks 30 years of service, having opened in 1995. Over the decades, the bank has pioneered several industry firsts, including Cellphone banking in 2007, eWallet in 2011, the FNB App in 2013, and Automated Teller Deposit (ADT) machines in 2017.
