FNB Eswatini Certified as a Top Employer in Eswatini & Africa

FNB Eswatini has been certified by the Top Employers Institute as a 2026 Top Employer in Eswatini and across Africa.

This was revealed by FNB CEO Thokozani ‘TK’ Dlamini during the FNB Press Play media engagement at House on Fire on Tuesday. The certification is awarded by the Top Employers Institute, an internationally recognized authority based in the Netherlands that evaluates organizations worldwide on the strength of their human capital practices and the quality of their work environment.

This certification follows the bank’s 2025 certification. According to Dlamini, it reflects the bank’s commitment to making FNB ‘the best place to work.’

“While we continue working to make our business the best place to work in Eswatini and the region, I am excited to see the work already done bear fruit. One of our focus areas is building strong talent pathways so our people can grow with FNB and see a future with us. One example is Mr. Mphetfo Tshabalala, our Executive Head of Credit, who joined the FirstRand Group as a Graduate Trainee in 2016,” he said.

The bank’s Chief People Officer, Veronica Ntshalintshali, provided additional details on how the bank earned its Top Employer certification. She said the Top Employers Institute, an international organization based in the Netherlands, assesses whether the bank’s human capital practices meet global standards. She added that these standards include training and development, recruitment processes and practices, and other key factors. “These high-quality standards that we are able to meet have enabled us to retain and attract the best talent so that we can provide our customers with quality service.”

Ntshalintshali noted that the process is rigorous. “The Top Employer’s Institute has certified 2,500 organizations worldwide, with only 318 in Africa. This underscores the global standard we must meet to achieve such certification.”
