Ensure Insurance Donates E100,000 to Health Charities

Ensure Insurance Brokers marked their inaugural Insurance and Risk Management Leadership Dinner by donating E100,000 to three local organizations dedicated to healthcare and social welfare.

The checks were presented by Gigi Reid, under the directive of CEO Lovemore Vilane, who spoke passionately about the true meaning of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a concept she described as “often undermined, but vital to the ethical soul of business.”

“CSR is more than just a business trend,” Reid said. “It’s about companies recognizing that their actions affect more than just their profits; it’s about giving back to the communities that support us, protecting the environment, and treating employees and customers with fairness and respect.”

With these words, she reminded the room of industry leaders and professionals that modern business success is not only defined by numbers but also by the positive impact it leaves on society.

“When businesses act responsibly, they earn trust, build stronger brands, and create long-term value, not just for shareholders but for society as a whole. In a world where people care deeply about ethics and sustainability, CSR is not just the right thing to do; it’s the smart thing to do.”

The beneficiaries included:

• Swaziland Hospice at Home, receiving E40,000,

• Cheshire Homes Eswatini, receiving E30,000, and

• Hope House, also receiving E30,000.

“These organizations have shown us what true compassion looks like,” she said. “We’ve seen the impact of their interventions on those facing medical and social hardships, and we honor them tonight for their tireless service.”
