EMI Gate Holding To Build School, Hospital, and Foundation In The Country

Emirates Management Investments (EMI) Gate Holding has promised to build a school, hospital, and Foundation in the country as a gift to the nation.

The company’s President HRH Fatima Alkaabi said the projects will lead to the creation of at least 2 000-2 500 jobs for emaSwati.

The company announced the news during a media briefing held at the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) offices, in Mbabane this morning.

EMI Gate Holdings is a national company established to contribute to achieving self-sufficiency for its country and the region in the fields of tourism investment, health, trade, media, tourism real estate development, hospitality, facilities management, and security.

 “Following our agreements and the unlimited support from His Majesty King Mswati III, we have decided to build the following as a gift to the nation.”

1.     A school from grade 1 to grade 12 with a capacity of 1500 students.

2.     A hospital with 10 ambulance cars fully equipped for the different regions of Eswatini.

3.     A Foundation for the Nation.

Also, present during the announcement was the Minister of Commerce Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, Principal Secretary (PS) in the same ministry Siboniso Nkambule, Dr. Khanyisile Dlamini who is the Senior Executive at EIPA, Hanalora Strydom, EIPA the Chief Financial Officer and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Eswatini to the UAE, Sifiso Mlandvo Dlamini.

Worth mentioning is that the upcoming projects are the result of an investment drive by His Majesty King Mswati III, which he undertook last year.

The talks between the King and EMI Gate Holdings culminated in the drafting of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The MoU is aimed at providing a framework for cooperation between the parties in promoting economic and technical cooperation in trade and investment between the two parties. It includes sectors that Eswatini has prioritized for its economic recovery and growth.

The EMI President concluded by thanking His Majesty for his generosity, love, and passion to provide a better quality of life for the nation.
