The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) will host an Export Guide Seminar aimed at equipping local businesses with the skills and knowledge needed to access international markets.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, from 09:30 to 10:45 at the FNB Business Chamber during the ongoing Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).
The seminar, themed “Export Guide: How to Start Exporting,” is supported by key partner agencies, including the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), ESWASA, and the International Trade Centre (ITC).
The seminar is part of EIPA’s ongoing efforts to empower local enterprises with practical knowledge and tools to successfully compete in international markets. It follows the recent launch of the Export Guide 2025, a step-by-step manual designed to simplify the export journey for Eswatini businesses.
Participants will be guided through the 10 Steps to exporting, which include assessing export readiness, conducting market research, developing an export plan, securing documentation, navigating shipping and logistics, pricing products for export, exploring trade finance, managing customs clearance, mitigating risks, and successfully entering foreign markets.
Thandeka Dlamini, Manager – External Trade Promotion at EIPA, explained the importance of the seminar: “Exporting can be a powerful growth driver for Eswatini businesses, but many are discouraged by the complexity of the process. Through this seminar and the Export Guide 2025, we aim to demystify exporting, giving local companies the confidence and knowledge to expand into regional and global markets,” she said.

The session will also highlight Eswatini’s access to preferential trade opportunities through agreements such as SACU, SADC, COMESA, AfCFTA, AGOA, and the EU Economic Partnership Agreement, which together provide duty-free or preferential access to markets representing more than 2 billion consumers worldwide.
Dlamini emphasized that both new and experienced businesses stand to benefit from the session: “EIPA encourages all local businesses, whether new to exporting or seeking to expand their international reach, to attend this valuable session and take the first step toward unlocking export success.”
