EIPA Invites Eswatini Businesses to Exhibit at Designed Giftionery Expo 2026 in Taiwan

The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has opened applications for local businesses to exhibit at the Designed Giftionery Expo 2026, scheduled for April 16–19, 2026, in Taipei, Taiwan.

The opportunity is open to Eswatini businesses that produce locally manufactured, value-added products, as part of EIPA’s ongoing efforts to expand export opportunities and integrate local enterprises into global value chains.

The call for applications follows a year of intensified export development initiatives by EIPA in 2025, which included the rollout of an Export Guide, the introduction of a 2026 Trade Show Calendar, enhanced promotion of local traders through storytelling, and Export Readiness Training and Trade Map Training to strengthen the capacity of Eswatini businesses to compete in international markets.

Speaking about the opportunity, EIPA Executive Head for Trade Promotion, Sibusiso Mnisi, said the expo offers a strategic entry point for export-ready Eswatini businesses into the Asian market.

“Following a series of deliberate training interventions in export readiness and market intelligence, EIPA invites export-ready Eswatini businesses to apply to exhibit at Designed Giftionery 2026 in Taipei,” Mnisi said. “This platform aligns well with the creative, value-added products produced by Eswatini traders and offers direct access to the Asian market.”

He added that participating businesses will have the opportunity to survey and interact with buyers from a new market firsthand, while promoting their products to prospective customers on the ground.

Designed Giftionery is one of Asia’s leading trade shows for gifting, stationery, lifestyle products, handicrafts, beauty and wellness, and creative goods, drawing buyers, distributors, and retailers from across the region. EIPA’s facilitation of Eswatini’s participation in the expo is supported by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), which will provide selected local businesses with flights, accommodations, and exhibition space during the event.

The initiative also enables participating businesses to leverage the Economic Cooperation Agreement between Eswatini and Taiwan, which allows duty-free access for 199 Eswatini products into the Taiwanese market.

Mnisi emphasized that only well-prepared businesses would be considered, noting that exhibitors must meet international standards.

“Applicants are encouraged to ensure their products meet international market requirements, that their pricing structures are export-ready, that their branding and packaging are appropriate for a global audience, and that they are prepared to engage professionally with buyers and distributors,” he said. “We encourage applicants to be innovative in how they position their products and brands as they apply for this opportunity.”

The deadline for applications to Designed Giftionery 2026 is 12 February 2026. Interested businesses can apply using the following link: https://tinyurl.com/EIPAGiftioneryForm.
