Delegates from the European Union (EU) and the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) have commended Eswatini’s efforts to improve the ease of doing business following a visit to the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) facility in Mbabane.
The visit aimed to provide delegates with an opportunity to learn more about BOSS’s operations and assess the impact of the long-standing partnership between the Government of Eswatini and the European Union in advancing investment facilitation in the country.
The BOSS facility, which the European Union initially supported through the International Trade Centre (ITC), serves as a central hub where investors and entrepreneurs can access a range of government services under one roof.
The initiative is designed to simplify business registration processes, improve efficiency and create a more investor-friendly environment.

During the tour, led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), Sibane Mngometulu, delegates were taken through the operations of the facility and briefed on progress achieved through EU-supported programmes. The CEO highlighted several milestones realised through the partnership, including support towards the development of Eswatini’s Investment Policy and broader reforms aimed at strengthening the country’s investment climate.
Speaking during the visit, the EU Head of Delegation to Eswatini, H.E. Karsten Mecklenburg, emphasized the importance of the BOSS initiative in improving public service delivery and supporting economic growth through efficient and streamlined systems.

Delegates also interacted directly with officers stationed at the facility to better understand the collaborative service delivery model that has positioned BOSS as a key enabler for investors and businesses in Eswatini.
The visiting delegation praised the progress made by Eswatini in implementing business reforms and expressed interest in learning from the country’s experience in improving investment facilitation and public service efficiency.
The visit further reinforced the growing cooperation between Eswatini, the European Union and international partners in promoting sustainable economic development and creating a competitive business environment.
