The Kingdom of Eswatini has officially entered a new era of intentional economics. In a strategic move to finalize the long-awaited hotel component of the International Convention Centre (ICC), the government has launched the Royal Signature Expo 2026 and the Royal Signature Mega Raffle.
Together, these two high-stakes initiatives aim to mobilize E200 million in capital, marking a decisive shift from infrastructure planning to active commercial implementation.
According to the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, this dual-pronged strategy is more than a fundraising exercise, he positioned it as a sophisticated evolution of the nation’s brand. The goal is to steer Eswatini toward a high-value economic future where diplomacy and private enterprise converge.
“This marks a transition from conceptualization to active implementation,” Khumalo said. “It is designed to harness the strategic convergence of diplomacy and enterprise during a period defined by sustained national progress.”
The initiative is split into two distinct platforms.
The Royal Signature Expo 2026, positioned as an invitation-only, ultra-premium showcase, the Expo will run from April 25–27, 2026. It coincides with a historic dual celebration: the birthday of His Majesty King Mswati III and his 40th year on the throne (the Ruby Jubilee). Unlike traditional trade fairs, this event focuses on stature over scale, bringing together international luxury houses and top-tier national enterprises to foster high-level deal-making.
The Royal Signature Mega Raffle, designed to bridge the remaining funding gap for the ICC’s five-star hotel. The raffle offers a high-entry, high-reward model. With tickets priced at E200 000, the raffle targets high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities, offering a prize portfolio valued at E50 million, including luxury vehicles like Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Lamborghini Urus, and Mercedes-Maybach.

Minister Khumalo emphasized that the Expo serves three primary functions: showcasing capability, facilitating outcome-driven connections, and unlocking global opportunities.
“By placing globally established premium and ultra-luxury brands alongside local enterprises that are already demonstrating excellence… the Expo affirms the strength, quality, and readiness of Eswatini’s industries to compete and succeed at the highest level,” he said.
During the launch at the Eswatini Revenue Service headquarters yesterday, HRH Princess Sikhanyiso, adorned in red to signify the Ruby Jubilee, framed the initiative as a patriotic contribution rather than a mere lottery.
“The Royal Signature Mega Raffle is more than an offering of luxury; it is a symbol of inclusive prestige and shared national purpose,” she said.
As announced by His Majesty King Mswati III, this initiative brings together a curated portfolio of five ultra-premium prizes, collectively valued at E50 million. The collection features the pinnacle of global automotive engineering, including a Rolls-Royce Ghost, Aston Martin, Lamborghini Urus, and a Mercedes-Maybach, alongside an exclusive high-jewellery collection.
During the launch, HRH Princess Sikhanyiso invited international participation with a direct call to global figures. “Mr. Dangote, Mr. Gates, and all your loved ones: please feel free to throw your coins this way. Mr. Elon Musk, if you wish to throw a Tesla into it, we shan’t deprive you,” the Princess said.
Addressing the E200,000 ticket value, the Princess offered a profound perspective on the nature of national investment. “We are simply planting trees under whose shade we might never sit,” she said. While the ticket provides a chance to win a prize valued at E10 million, the initiative serves a significantly greater purpose.
“As His Majesty has powerfully affirmed, as much as one may not win, there is a pride in knowing that you have contributed toward the completion of a national landmark in the International Convention Centre (ICC) project for the benefit of all Emaswati,” she said.
“Think about the employment, the tourism, and all the benefits that the kingdom stands to thrive off of”.
The timing is critical. Following His Majesty’s recent success in Equatorial Guinea, where he inspired delegates from 106 countries to visit Eswatini next month, the nation is preparing for a global influx. The ICC stands as the essential infrastructure for this new era of international engagement.
“This is not merely a raffle, it is a patriotic contribution,” the Princess said. The initiative invites participation from both local and international society, returning to the defining principles of global prestige and national mastery.
“I’d like to affirm that excellence can be refined and inclusive,” the Princess said.
“That aspiration can be attained through contribution, and that national celebration can unlock broader economic opportunities.”

The launch served as a definitive affirmation that aspiration can be attained through contribution, and that national celebration can unlock broader economic opportunities. It proves that excellence is not defined by exclusion, but by the collective challenge to achieve a higher standard of national success.
