The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has extended the application deadline for the upcoming Taipei International Food Show 2026 to Friday, 27 March, creating a wider window for emaSwati producers to tap into global markets.
The international exhibition is scheduled to take place from 24 to 27 June 2026 in Taiwan.
EIPA says the extension is aimed at giving export-ready businesses more time to seize what it describes as a strategic opportunity to showcase their products on a global stage, particularly within the fast-growing Asian market.
Speaking on the development, Thandeka Dlamini, Manager for External Trade Promotion at EIPA, encouraged local producers to take advantage of the extended deadline, highlighting the platform’s potential to unlock new growth avenues.
“Food Taipei offers emaSwati food and beverage producers a valuable opportunity to position their products on a global platform. By participating, businesses can engage directly with international buyers, explore new market trends, and strengthen their export readiness,” she said.
Dlamini added that exposure to Asian markets presents significant growth potential for local businesses, enabling them to expand their reach and establish sustainable trade relationships beyond Eswatini.
The exhibition provides traders with direct access to potential buyers, distributors, and trade partners, enabling them to market their products within the dynamic and highly competitive Asian market.

Through the support of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), EIPA is able to facilitate the participation of Eswatini-based businesses at this internationally recognised trade show. Dlamini noted that this collaboration is further strengthened by the Eswatini–Taiwan Economic Cooperation Agreement, which offers preferential trading conditions between the two countries.
“We are grateful for the continued partnership with TAITRA, which allows us to create global exhibition opportunities for Eswatini-based businesses. The Eswatini–Taiwan Economic Cooperation Agreement offers preferential trading conditions, particularly benefiting businesses in the agro-processing sector,” she said.
Food Taipei is one of Taiwan’s largest food and beverage trade exhibitions, covering 16 key segments including beverages, dairy, confectionery, seafood, prepared food, meat and poultry, frozen food, future food, vegetables, fruits, grain products, canned foods, seasonings, health supplements, snacks, and food preparation ingredients.
