1,014 Graduate from Limkokwing University

A total of 1,014 graduates from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) proudly received their qualifications during the institution’s 12th graduation ceremony, held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre in Manzini under the theme “Empowered to Innovate: Designing the Future of Excellence.”

The colourful ceremony marked a major academic milestone for Limkokwing Eswatini and was graced by the Prime Minister, Russell Mmiso Dlamini, Cabinet Ministers, senior government officials, industry leaders, and families who came in numbers to support their loved ones.

This year’s graduation marked several significant achievements for the university, including the first-ever cohort of the Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication and the second cohorts of both the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and the Bachelor of Business in International Business.

Graduates came from four faculties: Information and Communication Technology (334), Business and Globalisation (300), Design and Innovation (97), and Communication and Media (283), representing a diverse range of disciplines tailored to meet the demands of the modern global economy.

The Class of 2025 also reflected Limkokwing’s growing international profile, with students hailing from Eswatini, Burundi, Congo, and Zimbabwe.

Chair of the University Council, Prince Mphiwa Dlamini, congratulated the graduates, describing them as “a vibrant generation of thinkers, innovators, and creators who are equipped to drive the digital and creative industries forward.”

“Limkokwing University remains committed to producing industry-ready graduates who combine academic excellence with creativity and entrepreneurship,” Dlamini said.

In line with the university’s commitment to holistic education, 50 graduates received special awards in recognition of exceptional academic and leadership performance.

These included the Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing Awards for Academic Excellence, Creativity and Innovation, Extraordinary Achievement, and Leadership, as well as the University Colours Award for Command Performance.

The awards honoured students who demonstrated excellence not only in academics but also in innovation, extracurricular activities, and community impact.

In his keynote address, the PM commended LUCT for its role in transforming higher education and nurturing industry-ready graduates who are shaping Eswatini’s innovation landscape.

“Limkokwing continues to transform education and empower the youth of Eswatini, cementing itself as a model of innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development,” he said.

Dlamini praised the university for integrating creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship across its programmes, a model he described as vital to reducing youth unemployment, which currently affects about 58% of Eswatini’s youth.

He also acknowledged the institution’s success in changing public perceptions of technical and vocational education, noting that such skills now drive innovation and productivity in sectors such as hospitality, design, multimedia, and digital technologies.

While applauding the university’s progress, the PM challenged LUCT to move all its programmes to full degree status and to establish its administrative headquarters locally.

“I invite Limkokwing University to bring the administration of this institution to the country. As you reinvest locally, government commits to supporting the campus in every way possible,” Dlamini said.

Turning to the graduates, the Prime Minister urged them to lead with integrity, discipline, and moral responsibility, warning that corruption and moral decay remain major obstacles to national development.

“Refuse to participate in corruption of any form. Let integrity and discipline be the cornerstones of our nation’s progress,” he said.
