To strengthen risk management and ensure delegate safety, REDI has secured a public liability insurance cover worth E5 million for all participants attending the King V Presentation this Thursday at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha.
The insurance cover, provided by Oracle Insure, forms part of a partnership with REDI to safeguard this high-profile corporate event, which will bring together the country’s top CEOs and their board members for discussions centered on corporate governance and leadership.
Announcing the development, REDI Chief Executive – Dr. Sikhomba Gumbi – said the cover is a prudent step in managing potential risks associated with hosting such a large and influential gathering.
“We are bringing together the top CEOs in the country, together with their boards, into one venue. This is a very big risk,” Dr. Gumbi said. “If a calamity were to happen, the impact would be catastrophic. The effect on local businesses would be humongous, almost like an economic Armageddon. We are therefore acting prudently to avert any disaster. We want our delegates to have peace of mind. They should attend the event in their numbers, relax, and focus on the King V and the Corporate Governance discussions

The public liability cover by Oracle extends to a wide range of possible incidents, including injuries to delegates, property damage, third-party claims, nuisance and interference, event-specific accidents, as well as legal and defense costs that REDI may be liable to pay in the event of an incident.
According to REDI, risk management forms an integral part of good corporate governance, and this measure underscores the organization’s commitment to safeguarding stakeholders while promoting sound leadership practices.
“We are grateful to Oracle Group Eswatini for making it possible to stage a secure event,” Dr. Gumbi added. “We look forward to welcoming all delegates to the King V presentation.”
