Mvuselelo Fakudze, Chief Executive of Standard Bank Eswatini, has been re-elected as President of Business Eswatini (BE) during the organization’s 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday at Happy Valley Hotel.
The AGM attracted a full house of the nation’s most influential business leaders and was filled with a strong sense of confidence and shared ambition for the Kingdom’s economic future.
The gathering of key figures from sectors such as finance, industry, commerce, and agriculture demonstrated a united private sector eager to build on its momentum and explore new growth opportunities.
Using a highly efficient and transparent electoral process via the OpaVote online platform, members endorsed a leadership team for 2025-2027. The results showed a clear mandate: maintaining stability and pursuing excellence, with strategic updates within the leadership.
Together with Fakudze’s re-election, members re-elected Tokky Hou, Managing Director of Far East Textiles, as Chairperson of Business Women Eswatini. Her leadership remains vital in promoting women in business.
Muzi Siyaya, Managing Director of Ubombo Sugar Limited, was elected Vice President – Industrial Relations, shifting from his previous role as Vice President – Trade & Commerce, bringing extensive experience to this important role.

Anthony Geldard, CEO of LOGICO, was chosen as the new Vice President – Trade & Commerce, expected to bring energy and new ideas to advancing trade policies and expanding commercial opportunities for Eswatini’s businesses.
The newly formed board combines proven leadership with innovative vision, ready to guide the private sector into its next phase of growth.
After his re-election, Fakudze expressed his thoughts, saying the results show a strong mandate for stability and growth.
“I am deeply humbled and re-energized by the profound trust the business community has placed in us once again,” he stated. “This is not an endorsement of the status quo, but a mandate to accelerate. With Tokky’s visionary leadership for our women, Muzi’s strategic role in Industrial Relations, and Anthony’s focus on trade, this board is well-equipped to foster a competitive, inclusive, and resilient economy. Our collective resolve has never been stronger.”
