The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has officially opened nominations for the 2025 Eswatini National Export Excellence Awards (ENEXA), an initiative that celebrates the resilience, innovation, and impact of local exporters.
The ENEXA recognizes and rewards Eswatini-based companies that have successfully overcome international market barriers, demonstrated consistency in export performance, and contributed meaningfully to the country’s economic growth.
The awards will consider export activity undertaken between April 2023 and March 2025.
Speaking on the importance of the awards, EIPA’s Manager for External Trade Promotion, Thandeka Dlamini, highlighted the vital role that exports play in advancing Eswatini’s economic ambitions.
“Exports play a critical role in the growth of our economy; hence EIPA’s continued focus on enhancing trade both locally and via export and ultimately hosting events such as ENEXA,” she said.
“The awards celebrate Eswatini businesses driving growth in international markets for their noteworthy efforts in maneuvering the complexities of international trade. Additionally, the ENEXA recognizes trade support and trade finance initiatives that have contributed to the export growth efforts of Eswatini.”
Dlamini added that the awards not only honour the trailblazers but also inspire other local businesses to venture into global markets.
“The road to becoming an exporter can be challenging, yet it is a necessary step that many have taken and succeeded at, from large to small businesses. In awarding those who have already taken the lead and enjoying the benefits of exporting, we are shining a light on the excellence that is being demonstrated in our country and using it to motivate others to join in and explore international markets as an important step toward growing their businesses,” she said.
This year’s ENEXA features 13 award categories, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of Eswatini’s export sector:

• Trade Finance Support of the Year
• Trade Support Initiative of the Year
Eligible nominees must be privately-owned companies ultimately held by either citizens or residents of Eswatini. Eligibility applies to all exports in all business sectors. Awards entries are to be submitted according to the entry information requested on the nomination form.
